It gives me great pleasure to announce that at the outset of the current academic year 2024-25 our college has been selected for development as Pradhan Mantri College of Excellence, Government Arts and Science College, Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. This prestigious recognition stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development. Additionally, in 2016, the University Grants Commission (UGC) designated our college as a “College with Potential for Excellence” for the subsequent five years, further affirming our role as a beacon of quality education and transformative learning experiences.

The motto of the Institute // सं वो मनांसि जानताम् // (‘May our minds be in unison’) conveys our Vision of growing together harmoniously linking our glorious past to the resplendent future with aspirations and endeavors of the present. The aim is to build a strong foundation for a progressive and prosperous life of the students especially from the tribal areas and also from the weaker section of the society.

Government Arts and Science College, Ratlam
Established in 1956, Government Arts and Science College (GASC) Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, stands as a beacon of academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development. Over the years, GASC has evolved into a prominent institution, offering a diverse array of courses in both Arts and Science disciplines. With a rich legacy spanning over more than six decades, the college has continuously strived to uphold its commitment of providing quality education and nurturing talent.
Originally housed in a school building, GASC embarked upon its journey with humble but sincere beginnings. However, its vision for growth and academic excellence soon propelled it to achieve significant milestones. In 1962, the college attained postgraduate status, marking a pivotal moment in its institutional journey. This transition allowed GASC to expand its academic offerings, providing students with enhanced opportunities in education.
