Department of Philosophy

The Department of Philosophy was established in 1956. With the increasing number of students in the graduation programme the department offers another option in the stream of Arts for the students interested in a subject that holds a wide span of great personalities and literature. The subject can be considered as one with the oldest seeking of human evolution. The department concentrates on one hand on the classic ancient knowledge and on the other hand conveys the latest philosophic streams and isms to the students.

The Main Library of the institute is the source of the valuable books on the subject and the students frequently avail the facility to satisfy their zeal.

Post Graduate Programme is not yet provided by the department of Philosophy. The undergraduate students are taught by a faculty appointed for the purpose every year by the college as per the provisions of the department of higher education, Govt. of MP.

The department organizes expert lectures, educational tours for the benefit of the students. The prospect of Post-graduation and attempts in competitive exams for administrative jobs are strengthened by the study of philosophy. We sincere strive to fulfil this expectation through innovative teaching of the subject.
