Department of Social Work
The department of Social Work was established in the year 2013 under self- finance Courses. Students from all the batches have got placements in various GOs and NGOs in. The Master of Social Work (MSW) covers all aspects not only of rural development but also train the student in the areas of participation, decision making and other allied societal activities.
The Department offers four specializations:
- LWPM (labour Welfare & Personnel Management)
- CD (Community   Development)
- Medical psychiatric Social work
- Women & Child Welfare.
The department organizes expert lectures, educational tours, group discussions and quizzes for the students to enhance their learning skills and to test their calibre for betterment.
The main concentration of the course is to develop a sincere outlook towards the society as an ever-progressive unit. The areas offered in the study cover provide comprehensive knowledge about the work put into the development of humanity and social welfare.
We also look forward to nurture an encompassing view-point in the students to let them further lead the society towards a more aware and informed civilization. The base of giving and helping others is concretized during the studies of two years.
The Courses help the students choose from a wide range of the jobs or occupations like social worker, civil services, counsellor, orator, leader, educator or teacher after the completion of the studies.
