Department of Political Science
The Department of Political Science was established in the year of 1963.
The department offers UG, PG programmes and research facility. The commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity, the department is dedicated to providing a calibrated education and opportunity to understand the subject and its vital role in the national scenario.
Fostering an understanding of political systems, theories, and processes, the department offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Students are exposed to a comprehensive curriculum that covers various aspects of political science, preparing them for careers in government, public service, academia, and more. Â A rich departmental library provides the students with knowledge to conduct academic researches. It helps them to become a symbol of responsible and sensible citizens. It also provides them a solid platform to prepare for versatile career options.
To create an intellectual stimulating environment is the sincere commitment of the Department that reflects through the events organized such as expert lectures, student seminars, workshops, educational tours and outreach activities.
Renowned dignitaries like Dr. Ved Pratap Vedik, Dr. Nalini Rewadikar, Padamshri Janak Palta, and Dr. Naresh Dadhich have been invited by the department in the past years to let the students imbibe their experiences and knowledge as inspiration for life-time. Success and achievements of the students in the areas of UPSC, MP PSC, UGC NET, and MP SET etc. reflect the dedicated work put in the progress of each individual.
Faculty members of Department have been invited to deliver lectures and present research papers in various national and international conferences. Â The faculty members are Ph.D. degree holders selected by MPPSC, actively engaged in research activities with innovative spirit they have been contributing towards the evolution of the institute.
