 Department of Zoology
 The Department of Zoology at Govt. Arts and Science College Ratlam was established in the year 1956, offering both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Since its inception, the department has been aligned with the university’s mission to promote teaching, research, and extension activities in the field of Zoology.
Academic Programmes:
- Undergraduate Programme: Bachelor’s degree in Zoology.
- Postgraduate Programme: Master’s degree in Zoology.
 Faculty members of the Department of Zoology actively participate in academic programmes such as orientation and refresher courses held at academic staff colleges of various universities nationwide. They also serve as resource persons in diverse academic activities, sharing their expertise with students.
 The department maintains its own library, tailored to meet the academic needs of students studying Zoology. This resource provides access to a wide range of books, journals, and research materials essential for academic growth.
 Teachers in the Zoology Department play a vital role in counselling students. Their guidance helps students navigate academic challenges, career aspirations, and personal growth in the field of Zoology.
 All faculty members have completed updated Faculty Development Programmes (FDP) on the National Education Policy 2020. They have also developed E-Content for students, which have been uploaded on the Learning Management System (LMS) of the Department of Higher Education, Bhopal, M.P.

- The department organizes various expert lectures, educational tours, projects, and special days to enrich students’ understanding of Zoology.
- National Conferences are organized to provide a platform for students and faculty to present their research and engage in scholarly discussions.
